Notary public in Bulgaria

With their specific status of a public servant, appointed and governed by the state, as well as exercising a liberal profession by being a private person - the notary is a link between the public and private affairs, and between the state and its citizens.

Every Bulgarian notary fulfills their public functions, directly delegated by the state via the Notary Act Law. In that sense, they are obliged to be unbiased, objective, to look after the lawfulness of their acts and to ensure the protection of the interests of all participants in the notary proceedings.
